# Wallpaper usage and license labels

Find the license attached to a wallpaper and check which uses it covers.

## Where is the license shown? [#where-is-the-license-shown]

Each wallpaper detail page displays its license label alongside its download information. Check that label for the specific artwork you plan to use. Downloading a file does not transfer ownership of the artwork.

## What does personal mean? [#what-does-personal-mean]

The **personal** label describes use as a wallpaper on your own devices. It does not describe a commercial license or permission to resell, redistribute, or include the artwork in a product. If you need an additional use, ask about that specific artwork before proceeding.

Other license labels may have different terms. Follow the terms supplied for that artwork rather than assuming that one wallpaper's permissions apply to the whole gallery.

## Do download credits change the license? [#do-download-credits-change-the-license]

A download's displayed credit cost relates to the selected download option. Paying credits does not by itself expand a wallpaper's stated license. Review both the download option and the license shown on the artwork page.
