# Create a wallpaper from an idea

Choose a screen format, describe a scene, and review your wallpaper before sharing it.

## Start with a scene [#start-with-a-scene]

Open the [studio](/create) and sign in. Describe the subject, setting, light, and mood. Include where you want the main subject to sit, especially if you need space for a clock or desktop icons. For example:

> A quiet alpine lake at dawn, snow-covered mountains reflected in still water, soft pink light, and open sky in the upper half.

Keep the first description focused. After reviewing a result, change one part at a time, such as the lighting or the position of the subject.

## Choose your screen [#choose-your-screen]

Pick an available screen format and output size. A wide scene suits a desktop; a vertical composition usually gives a phone subject more room. Review the credit cost shown for your settings before starting. The available controls and displayed price apply to that request.

## Start from a reference [#start-from-a-reference]

Use image input when you want to work from an existing picture. Upload an image you have permission to use, then describe what you want to keep or change. Follow the file limits shown beside the upload control.

## Review the result [#review-the-result]

Keep the task open to follow its progress, or return to your [creation history](/activity/ai-tasks). When it is ready, inspect the larger preview. Check small details, edges, and the space around the subject before downloading or publishing.

If a task fails, read its status and check your [credit history](/settings/credits) before trying again. For a repeated problem, send the task reference to [support@wallpaper.art](mailto:support@wallpaper.art).

## Share when you are ready [#share-when-you-are-ready]

Add a descriptive title and relevant categories or tags. Review the visibility setting before publishing, and keep unfinished work private. A published wallpaper may need review before appearing in the gallery.

## Try a moving wallpaper [#try-a-moving-wallpaper]

The [live wallpaper studio](/create/live) offers motion and its own screen options. Check the format, displayed cost, and intended device before starting. See [wallpapers and downloads](/docs/wallpapers) for playback and installation considerations.
